The second Group A clash of the Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai saw India dominate UAE, sealing their authority early in the tournament.
UAE Innings Summary
The hosts got off to a decent start with Aryan Lakra Sharafu and Muhammad Waseem finding early boundaries. However, once both openers fell, the innings collapsed dramatically.
From 47/2, UAE were bundled out for 57 runs, losing 8 wickets for just 10 runs in a shocking collapse.
India’s Bowling Stars
- Kuldeep Yadav was the standout, taking 4 wickets, spinning a web around the UAE middle order.
- Shivam Dube, picked as the third seam option, impressed with 3 wickets.
- Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel chipped in, keeping the pressure constant.
- Jasprit Bumrah, back in T20I action since the 2024 T20 World Cup Final, got on the wickets column though he looked a touch rusty.
